Medical Conditions - Allergy reliefProduct Description: Piriton Syrup is a medication containing chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine. Each 5 ml of the syrup contains 2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic control of various allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines. These conditions include hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema, food allergy, drug and serum reactions, and insect bites. Additionally, it provides relief from itching associated with chickenpox. Ingredients: Each 5 ml of Piriton Syrup contains 2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate. Usage Instructions: To ensure proper use of Piriton Syrup, please follow these guidelines based on age: Children aged 6-12 years: Take 5 ml (2 mg) of syrup every 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 ml (12 mg) within a 24-hour period. Children aged 2-6 years: Take 2.5 ml (1 mg) of syrup every 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 15 ml (6 mg) within a 24-hour period. Children aged 1-2 years: Take 2.5 ml (1 mg) of syrup twice daily, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between doses. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 5 ml (2 mg) within a 24-hour period. It is not recommended for children below 1 year of age. Precautions: Please take note of the following precautions when using Piriton Syrup: Piriton Syrup is contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive to antihistamines or any of the ingredients present in the syrup. Common side effects of Piriton Syrup may include drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, and psychomotor impairment. These effects can significantly impair the patient's ability to drive or operate machinery.
